current rumour 1 Month, 1 Week ago

Wayne Thomas on trial after being released by Southampton, will probably sign a deal if he impresses in the sheffield wednesday game.
Josh Payne signed a 6 month deal after impressing in pre season.
Sean O'Driscoll STILL interested in Andy Keogh and could pay up to 1 million for him near the end of the window IF he can't find cheaper alternatives. Also he may be hoping Wolves will change there mind about a possible loan move nearer the end of the transfer window.
He is also on the look out for an extra centre back and extra centre midfielder. Expect more loan signings but maybe not Jay Emmanuel–Thomas as he is looking likely to play a big part in Arsene Wengers plans this season.
Other whispers coming out of the keepmoat.
O'Driscoll looking at bringing old fans favourite Michael McIndoe back to the club for around 200k
Heard a rumour Doncaster are interested in Celtic's young striker Ben Hutchinson after impressing in recent friendly against Lincoln. Maybe a loan if he came.

Forget about McIndoe I've no interest in going backwards he was amazing when we had him but that was best part of 5-7 years ago everybody's moved on & he certainly has several times

I cant believe so many are rejecting McIndoe! Short memories, people. The guy worked tirelessly for us for three seasons, and was effectively forced out of the club by Penney. I think he deserves a chance to finish off what he started.

i don't think we need anymore midfielders if we are getting another on loan, personally another goalie and another centre half and a big target man would do me personally.

McIndoe always thought he was bigger than the club. All he was interested in was self self self. According to him he was the best and preferred to be away at a bigger club so that he may further his international aims. Yes he was a gifted player and gave his all for the club but was always wanting what was best for him. That's understandable but if he came back how long would it be before he wanted away again? So no, bugger him, I don't want to se him in the hooped shirt again.

Do you really think there is a single player at the KM that isn't out to do "what is best for him"?

If rumour, gossip & speculation were to take Martin Woods to Preston, why wouldn't McIndoe fit perfectly into that role?
I want a player to want the best for himself, it's no good anybody being satisfied with their lot 'cos they lose their drive.

If you read JR's latest book, you'll find out how much an admirer of McIndoe the Chairman is, so does it really matter what anyone else thinks? (Other than the manager, of course!)
Personally, he's been there and done it at this level - not an earth-shattering success at other clubs he's been at, but he certainly could do a job here still. Not many natural left siders in the squad, so he would be an invaluable squad member. He may get the lips out when he has to take his turn on the bench, but I think he'd fit well into SOD's systems and he'd bloody well enjoy himself (which would also bring out the best in him). Another extremely added value is that he would most definately add goals from midfield. It's a yes from me.

Its a yes from me too, i'd have Macca on penalty and free kick duty every time in front of Woods.

Happy Birthday Mr Southstand.

A definite YES from me too. He was/is a bloody good player when playing the right footy with the right team.....we are/do both those things.
Personally I don't want a player in my team that likes to be subbed unless they are badly injured. Some think that this is a personality weakness ....far from it!

I personally think Macca will have lost the 'big fish ego' a couple of clubs ago, if he is coming to us for 200k he is hardly a big name signing, perhaps he wants to re kindle his career? under the mighty SOD.
our manager certainly knows how to bring out the best in failing midfielders doesnt he!

I only saw Mac as a Rover when he played against Barnsley at BVue that was in the days before I returned as the prodigal son a couple of years ago. He impressed me then and also when he played at the KM for Bristol City although he was petulant kicking out at ...was it Jimmy O'?..... and should have been sent off.
I think he could add something a little different and lets face it there hasn't often been a plan B in the last few years since I have returned, apart from the odd formation change or bringing on Locky for the last 10mins to try to protect a 1 goal advantage
