Rochdale v Doncaster Rovers Match Preview

by bobbymax

The law of averages suggests this losing run can't continue for Rovers but Lady Luck put the boot in against Blackpool on Easter Monday and may have knocked any remaining fight out of the red and white hoops.

One bit of good news this weekend is that opponents Rochdale will be without top scorer Ian Henderson, who scored twice at the Keepmoat at the back-end of last year to steal the points for the Lancashire side. Keshi Anderson broke his leg in that game and some would argue that the Rovers attack hasn’t been the same since.

Spotland was a happy hunting ground last season for Rovers with Curtis Main and Theo Robinson (hard to belive, I know) both on target in a 3-1 victory. But 'Dale still entertain faint hopes of a play-off place and Rovers are, well, up a certain creek and just praying for a paddle to float by.

Luke McCullough should come back into the reckoning after returning from international duty but only Fergie knows whether that will be at centre-back or in front of the back four. How three points would improve the atmosphere at the club – dare we dream?
