Deadline Day
« on August 31, 2010, 08:59:00 am by Mark DRFC »
I know that we still have this mythical transfer fund, but does anyone think there will be any signings by Rovers today or that it will be when the loan market reopens after the 25man squads have been decided?

I am expecting a silence today with not a murmur as this really concerns permanent transfers as the loan window opens for us again next week.
When it does reopen i would hope young Dumbayo gets a loan move to play some games and a new right back comes in to allow SOD some flexibility with a fragile back line.I cant see how you could play Dumbayo and Friend in the same team else it would be 3-2 on every break.Actually on second thoughts lets start dumbayo put JOC  to left back and let Friend out on loan.lol

I don't think we'll bring anyone in.

Premiership clubs still have up until 5pm tomorrow to name their 25 man squads. It is more likely SOD will wait until these are finalised and the loan window reopens next week.

I can't see us spending money on a fee when there will be a decent amount of free transfers and loan signings available.

Strange one really, especially when it is described as an initial one month loan. Perhaps we were expecting Oster and Wilson to be out longer.

Anyway I guess without reserve team football, it will keep him sharp and we can see how he progresses.

Done Deal.
Looks like 20-year-old Icelandic midfielder  Gylfi Sigurdsson has waved goodbye to English football for now as he has joined German side Hoffenheim from Championship Reading.   The fee is anywhere between £4m-6m

Man City defender Dedryck Boyata looking for a loan somewhere. He scored in Europe last week, Leeds and Norwich interested.

After what happened with Mills, its surely worth a shout?

Definately, I think he'll end up at Newcastle however.

I've heard Danny Rose is off to Bristol City. Anyone else heard that?
