As far as I recall he signed on a free from West Ham and was not retained after playing a part for one season. I don't remember any stories relating to his departure other than one report that said he was absolutely devastated to have been released.

I don't think I saw his name again in the pro/semi-pro game.

I always wondered what happened to him too. Stan Anderson was pretty glowing about him when he arrived. He never struck me as a world beater. Competant - but what do I know? Never heard anything untoward about his leaving. And I never heard of him again either.

Didnt realise he played for us for such a short spell. He was pretty average from memory, though bigged up at the time. I think he sticks in my memory for his unusual name and because of his colour. Black players got shocking abuse back then. Quite topical given the thread on Panorama posted on here. Shows how far the UK has come in comparison. Frightening how endemic racial hatred is in Poland/Ukraine. Particularly, the anti-semitisem. Given the history of that region in respect of genocide you'd thin it'd be different

Very funny at Newport listening to the announcer trying to get his name right.

A bit about him from the www.

http://www.doncasterrovers.co.uk/news/Assorted/Appeal.htm Scroll down a bit

Seems he came from Barnsley Amateurs?

I seem to recall he was on amateur forms (they still existed in those days!) with Barnsley when he signed for us. They'd be called non-contract now.
