Try Andy Gtiffin, lately of Reading, just a stab in the dark.

But seriously, and don't think I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, but what's the point of a 1 week loan?

Where has this one week loan rumour come from? Seems to me like someone has some wires crossed somewhere. Isn't there a limit on how many short term loans you can take out, so why would we waste one on a week's loan? Can you even get week loans? Maybe Deano meant he'll have him on a week's trial, or the reporter just misunderstood something he said, wouldn't be the first time.

Post Brentford interview on Player with Dean on Saturday, says the player will be with him "tomorrow", poss meant Monday, and he'll be offering him a contract for a week to play for nothing - body language suggests thats a Deano exaggeration, probably meaning playing for very little.

I think you will find it was some form of Welsh humour, Dean was probably extracting the urine out of the previous McKay experiment. If you saw the interview on player he had that grin on his face when he said it. Proves that people will believe anything.

Andy Griffin played 42 games for reading last season when they were promoted, but was released at the end of his contract, now a free agent looking for a club. Also played for Stoke City and Newcastle United.

Sorry, got it wrong according to Wikipedia he played 42 times in 2 years, 9 times in the promotion season last year, he is 33 but very experienced. I maybe wrong, but I hope I am right oin my guess as to who it is.

I would have thought he would be a centre back and not a full back when you look at what we need.
