Some sensible comments, but some pathetic ones.

The pitch favoured us
We only scored because of the pitch
If the game had carried on, we would have lost.

Of course we're Northern oiks without finesse. Heavy conditions suit the likes of Donny Rovers.

What you are for getting is that we were down to 10 players and they had just scored. Charlton had just taken the upper hand and it was not a foregone conclusion that we would win. We were the better team up to that point but I suspect things were going to change.

I was talking to an employee at Bristol today(not Sean)  and he had heard nothing about Wellans going to Bristol when he left the ground on Thursday afternoon! Take from that what you will.

Wellens will be a great loss to the team if he goes and I think if we can sign him we should as he is a key player.

Some of those quotes were before we were down to 10 men.

How's Wellens cropped up in this conversation?

Frosty,

I was away from the net most of the day today but I had  picked up a comment that Wellens was on his way to Bristol before I left home for the game.

I think you should allow for the fact I was a little  down after the game and I had a few drinks to get over it!

My conclusion after to days game, my first of the season, is that we will survive in the Championship. We have one hell of a hard working team this year. Young Dicky plays the kind of football I like and its going to be a good season
