A rallying call
« on April 17, 2014, 10:51:29 am by Filo »
Dickov expects us to get behind the team, we're on the telly as well so lets get some noise generated!

Any chance of the drum? It does aid the atmosphere at home tbf. It's completely dead without it. Anything to help surely?

Can't hurt to ask the club - it's their drum after all. Just needs someone willing to "play" it.

Sky Sports. There'll be a stream, no doubt, if you're comfortable using them.

With it being on the telly, it might have been an idea to bang out a cheap offer a) because its an important game which would be a massive 3 points towards survival and b) so the ground looks full while we have the camaras there.

£5 or £10 a ticket anywhere in ground to get it filled up.

It is £35 for a dual match adult ticket for Derby and Reading.

Apparently sales 'approaching 10000'. Would assume this includes away fans? Not bad at all with it being a Friday night. Well done to the club for the offer as well

I guess that will include Derby's lot - they were well over 2000 the other day...

Yeah I think you're right on that. With sales tomorrow and the walk-ups should be a decent home turnout

I'm pleasantly surprised at the numbers we've sold considering poor form and on tv

Hi Guys,

Just been into the club regarding the drum situation, and because of the recent incidents involving the singing section and all the people congregating around the drum it has been withdrawn and don't think it can be used anymore. Just awaiting a call back from someone in the offices as I am keen to get the atmosphere back especially now as we need it more than ever!

I have done this before and paid a lot of money for the original drum only to be told I am no longer able to do it.

Hope they can sort it for tonight. Not hard for people to jump in the box surely and ruin it? If we do get it back just stay out of it apart from who ever is battering it.

Don't think we will be having it back because of safety concerns ie people congregating in the box. I've asked for tonight but health and safety won't allow it anymore. Further to this we Te not allowed because of sky. Will be OK for reading!

Sky bottling going in the away end? Seriously there's an entire unreserved section in south a-h anyone wanting to congregate in a big group just go there leave a few rows between the sitters and you'll be able to stand if you want.

That's pathetic. They've not had a problem with it being there all the time we've had one at the Keepmoat, why now? Nothing's changed.

Message to any Derby fans reading, do what you want though it's okay in the away end.

If true, it's very disappointing to hear we are being denied the use of the drum, especially when we need everything we've got to get behind the team.

I believe Derby sometimes take a drum away, it'll be interesting to see if they have one tonight

Load of rubbish, we've been on sky several times with the drum banging and had no problems, got to say the atmosphere against Bolton other was a joke, it was garbage, let's get it rocking tonight, the boys need a 12th man!!

Safety concerns? I hope the same safety concerns are applied in the away end and they are all made to sit down and not congregate in the walkways!

Safety concerns that also allowed the exit/fire exit from the West Stand to be blocked by a TV van last night!!!
The steward was getting a right earful "You should have had it shifted!" etc etc

Either way I think we've become far too stale at home again and the club don't seem to be at all interested in anything but stifling it.

That blocked fire exit was a bloody disgrace.  Serious questions should be asked of the safety officer.

Apparently Derby weren't allowed their drum in either if it's any consolation.
I do believe we should be allowed it and forego all this health and safety wishy-washy namby-pamby b*llocks. It's a football match for f*** sake!
