Christ Almighty! If you are of an age to have seen IAn Nimmo play, you know perfectly well that we had a whole series of worse managers in quite a short space of time. Remember Weaver? Remember that Uruguayan or whatever he was? Never mind Keith Kettleborough and Joe Kinnear.

I wrote, and then deleted, some comments about the emptiness of deep space in my first post. Now I wish I'd left them.

In short yes, there has been worse managers, but not for a number of years. You could say some fans haven't seen a worse manager at the Rovers in their lifetime, which would account for why a lot of the younger generation seem to get so pissed off when we lose.
Anyone over the age of 20 should be used to the Rovers losing, and happy to see a score draw

He is certainly on course to be. I can't remember any manager who has steered the club down two divisions of the football league but this bloke will if he's not removed sooner rather than later.

Mr O'Driscoll when manager struggled to break a losing run, he could also generate in favourable conditions, a winning one.
This pattern was repeated at both Bournmouth and Bristol
His tactical encyclopaedia however did not extend beyond A.

During Danny Berghara's reign, at a poor away performance a lad who'd travelled extensively in South America informed Danny in his native tongue of his opinion of him and his ability. He obviously wasnt expecting it and you could see the reaction as the words struck home, far more effective than the the usuall 'gerrimoffisshite' he was used to.

For what its worth I along with Kev Rogan interviewed Kerry Dixon for RTR and found him to be a decent bloke, another a victim of circumstance in the Richardson era.

For my two pennorth  the list begins and ends with Weaver, others may be unlucky, unsuccesfull or just plain not good enough, but seriously can you imagine anyone who could inspire the level of vitriol his name does based purely on results alone ?

I think he took either Boston or Kettering down as well. Possibly both.

Whilst I will not rave about Cusack, he was forced to sell every decent player we had at the club.

Dickov's the worst for me and Ive been going 30 years. Kerry Dixon was OK when he played himself but awful when a was in the dugout.

If you are basing your assessment on a manager's first 15 months in charge, then Dickov's done significantly better than O'Driscoll, all things considered.
