I like the red piping on the green away top. I'd continue the hoops down the top on both shirts though and maybe have black instead of green piping on the home kits

You'd probably have 2 winners there for me with those little tweaks

Perfect. stop the completion, we have two winners already :-)

the only other way to make our tops that little more unique I thought would be to try and design them in a similar style to a polo top that you would get in a shop like top man/next or river island with collars etc

just a thought

I agree bob, hoops all around. I'd like to take all the credit but bob deserves at least 99.9%, all I did was have an idea to tweak it a little

I'd like to see how my other idea would look but I've no time in the near future to try and knock one up (said the nun to the bishop)

It would probably be just a sketch at most as well, so if anyone is feeling inspired to design something like I've suggested please feel free

Home Shirts

Shirt 1: A White Shirt with Red 'pinhoops' and a darker white on each alternate 'hoop' with a sort of sash.

Shirt 2: Similar to above, but without the darker white on hoops or the sash.

Shirt 3: A Plain Red Shirt with white pinhoops

Shirt 4: My take on the infamous 92 shirt

Shirt 5: Red and White hoops with a black 'piping' and a white retro collar.

Shirt 6: Ala Celtic this season - Red and White hoops with white lines in the Red Hoops.

Shirt 7: A modern take on the shirt we wore 40 years ago

Shirt 8: Club Doncaster?

Shirt 9: As Above, another shirt centered around a CD theme.

some very good designs there again Lee! I like the idea of a cutout around the logo in #8 and I like #7, although I'm not sure how popular white shirts would be with some of our younger fans - could you do #8 again in red with a single white stripe?

#1 is a bit too radical I think, but certainly in the right direction thinking outside the box, as is #6.
I wasn't a fan of the pinstripes however when you did them a couple a years ago and still not now.

do you have any different ideas of how you would incorporate green into the home shirt?

I would prefer a shirt predominantly white. On Balance our shirt has been as much White as it has Red in the last 10 years so from a 'younger' fan approach adopting an mainly red shirt should be the same as adopting a White one.

I like the pin'hoops' because it allows us to keep our identity as Red and White Hoops and isn't that big of a step away making it easier to transition back.

I personally don't have any taste for Green and Red clashing on the same shirt. Makes us look like some sort of Santa's elves XI.

Crofty reckon you could knock up a decent violet shirt?  Id take shirt 2 as a third kit and 4 as a home kit. Good designs.

Cheers Ditch. I'm in middle of putting together some away shirts and violet (African or otherwise) does feature among other colours. I'll post them up soon.

It'd pretty much throw the "come on you reds" chant out the window though lol
The green shirt went down pretty well at Brentford I think? Pin stripes are pin stripes mate, "pin hoops" ain't for me.

Just read here that Barca are having hoops for the first time in their history next season. If it's good enough for them...

I think we do need to remember that the avec templates appear quite basic meaning that when we do do "out of the box" designs they normally struggle to replicate them

I also think that we need a shirt with hoops in one form or another as this is how people relate to rovers now and is part of the clubs identity, change that and you could be starting all over again hence why i liked bobs 1/2 plain 1/2 hoop as it was still rovers just an updated version

That said I do like #4, #5 & #6 of Mr crofts designs along with the cut out around the badge

Bob do you think you could take your home design that was 1/2 red,1/2 hoops and

1) swop the colours so it's mainly white but add the old 1879 hoop around the badge

2) keep it red but add a cut out around the badge? It may be you add a thicker white stripe to do this or just have White around the badge?

Hope it makes sense and good luck

Bob do you think you could do

1) swop the colours of the home shirt design which is 1/2 red 1/2 hoops so the main colour is white with red hoops and put the red 1879 hoop around the Viking crest?

2) do the CD cut out around the Viking badge which is 1/2 red 1/2 hoops you may need a thicker white hoop to do this and could try both ideas on the green away top as well

Good luck and cheers for the effort

I like the design but do we really need white in both home and away?

not at all. Until this season I thought away shirts should stick to the hoops, but I've changed my mind too. Which colours would people most like to see used in the away shirts? The last couple of seasons purple/"african violet" and green were the most popular.

Half n hoops in reverse are great. Prefer the one with the thick hoop at the top. Like the purple kit too.

Design 4: Big Green and White Hoops

Design 5: Green Shirt with white sleeves, one green hoop on one Sleeve and a White stripe down the other

Design 6: Similar to the shirt we wore 'that day' in Brentford, but with a white bar opposed to the V shape.

Design 7: African, Chinese and Grape variations of Violet with white sleeves

Design 8: Black and African Violet stripes

Design 9: Black Shirt with an African Violet front

Design 10: African and Chinese Violet hoops with white sleeves.

Design 11: Dark Blue Shirt fading to white with Red cuffs and collar.

Design 12: Dark Blue with Red Collar and sleeve highlight with a white cuff to finish.

Could you have a go at a blue and yellow (Dons & Belles) away kit if possible please.
