Fair enough. An opportunity explored and didn't work out.

Just shows how difficult it can be to integrate overseas players into the lower leagues here. Wonder how much the 'experiment' has cost the club in salary, signing fees etc in the last year and half. Bit of a waste really, could have been spent better else where to be fair

It's always a risk signing any player.

Not sure why "Experiment" even comes into this.

I think the "experiment" in this instance is one of bringing a young lad over from Spain to see how he fits in with life in a small English footy club.

I don't think nationality was an issue here, the player has a very English style in tough tackling etc, even then though having worked abroad myself, it is tricky being away from home etc.

I just think he was unlucky in many respects, got that horrible injury at the start when he had a shout of getting some game time.  He's got ability but he was on the back foot from that and probably then tried to hard in games if anything and got himself wound up and in bother.

It's tough when you have to fight for the opportunties as he did, but it's probably best for both parties to have a clean slate now.

I wonder if he is a 'fair weather' player, unsuited to our climate?

I would say Marc was a tropical fish trying to make his way in the North Sea . A brave and very determined guy who wanted to succeed here but who will be much much better suited to his environment in Cordoba. He will enjoy his family and friends around him too .. he's Catalan but Cordoba is not exactly a hardship posting.

I hope this doesn't sound horrible, but I just didn't think he was up to scratch for this level. Mark Wilson was a better player.

Normally when a player has been here as long as Marc you pretty much know his game, but we never really saw him in a long run of games did we..It's not easy coming in and out for the odd game here and there...I would have liked to have seen him in a run of 15 games or so..Gordon Greer came here spent most of his time injured and drifted in and out...Nobody complained when he was let go,yet he's been in a upper championship team for the last few years now...

So he's actually joining their B team which play in a 3000 capacity stadium , and i thought he would be doing combat with messi , Ronaldo and the likes.

It just goes over his early career and says his time here was marked by inconsistency . He has signed until the end of the season . Andalucia v Arksey ?
