Eight shots to their five and 58% and lost 3-0 - what a silly game!

Bywater will be disappointed he's not done better with the first two goals especially the second but today was not the day for over elaborating on the edge of their box. All too often a pass too many when a shot at goal was a better option

OK, a bad day at t he office, back on it Tusday.  Nothing to see here.... move along....

Strange results today in L1.  A few accumulator wreckers in there.

Exactly. Our run of form had to come to an end although I wasn't expecting that scoreline. Now lets see what we're made of Tuesday

Good management from Dickov, Keegan declared himself fit - Dickov stated better to pull him out for one match rather than play him then he misses 4 or 5 games

I thought Razak had a reasonable game yesterday. Couple of times played blinding passes that opened things up. Also made a couple of decent tackles.

Without Keegan though we didn't press and close down as effectively.

How many times did the loose ball end up in their possession yesterday instead of ours?
I've banged on for a long time that Keegan would be the first name on my team sheet and yesterday did nothing to convince me otherwise.

Deffo missed Keegan again and it isn't till he doesn't play to notice that usually is the case, although saying that I though Razak was our our best player in a poor team performance, bad pitch didn't help but no excuses.i know a lot of fans were also moaning about us not shooting but don't think we got into many positions from long range like they did for the 2nd goal

Two goalkeeping errors put the chances of any points at slim to nothing. However we gave away the ball far too much and missed Keegan who normally mops up the stray passes and stops the opposition getting time to think before they get to our defence. Too many times they were allowed to attempt mazy runs at our defence when Keegan would have been straight in before they got there.

Razak was effective but I wouldn't have started him yesterday. A case of 'ifs and ands' I know but if we could have kept it tight and he'd been introduced later in the game then I think it would have been a better use of him and we could have got something out of the game. Have to say that seeing the goals again I didn't truly appreciate how porous our midfield was. It was beyond bad and if they play like that on Tuesday then we might as well give them the game now.

It was amazing to watch really! The slick passing game and pressure on the ball of the last 3 games made way for wayward passes, giving them far too much time & space and a total lack of any ideas how to create chances. It was as if we'd forgotten how to play football. Maybe the conditions didn't help, maybe we were tired after all the Tuesday's & Saturday's in quick succession, maybe Vales' style of play doesn't suit us? - they've outplayed us twice now this season.

Anyone can have an off day, so let's hope that was it. I don't think we are consistent enough to make the play offs but I'd love to be wrong - to do it we need consistency, and soon!
