I want to get the anthem thread back on track, and to make a distinction (the best I can) between an anthem style song and the songs some might like to be heard played when the players exit from the tunnel.

I have pieced together the anthem(esque) songs in a single clip, taking snippets from each song and placing them on one youtube video. Most of the songs can be found in their entirety on this thread. The list is by no means exhausted, we still need folk to propose songs. I should imagine the powers that be (Filo, Nathan etc) will decide when members of the site have had enough time to nominate songs. Anyway, I'm doing my bit to help (and push it along)... and trying to make things simple.

SpaceShower, I cannot for the life of me find an audio clip for the song you suggested 'It's not where you start'. If you have one matey, I'll be able to add it on to the video. I don't know how to extract the audio from the youtube vid you posted.

Appreciate the effort you've gone to with the video, and so am wary about this sounding like a moan, but if you're gonna put Centrefold on it then you have to use the 'Na na n-na na na' part to it... its the bit which connects it with Rovers in my head

Actually what is wrong with all of them? I mean this montage could be played before a game and during halftime and the crowd would sing along to the bits they liked. A bit Jive Bunny 'ish'.

No worries matey. I only did the video just to keep the anthem issue in the fore so to speak. Should Filo, Nathan, or Rob want me to do a youtube video (similar to the one) for when we have all the nominations in...something which forum members can listen to without having to search the thread messages... I'll certainly include the snippet of Centrefold you suggested.

If you pm or put on here the url for the song you want the audio from il be able to get it from the video. Put it into mp3/MPEG format and send it back to you to put it on your video.

It's Danny Boy for me.

Everyone knows it we all sang it in the school choir. This is a song that's slow enough and loud enough to be the one. Would somebody kindly post a You Tube version of this because it's beyond me I'm afraid.
