And Scally personally. The Brighton lot always said Scally was not their cup of tea....

I think they've already appealed once.

Wonder if they'll use the same legal firm Sheffield United used...

Just to clarify, Mark McCammon won his case at an employment tribunal some time ago. Yesterday's verdict was from the FA and follows their hearing into the case.

don't like this club at all

ok once they were in the championship

martin allen did a brilliant job getting them promotion from division 4 (as we like to call it ) and got sacked pdq afterwards (nice one) then peter taylor told them "the facts of life" "allegedly" & consequently "went thru the door" to be replaced by j. edinbru -- with surprising short term improvement --  in my world they are defying gravity

the point is did either of allen or taylor deserve to be replaced/leave ?

....... "smoke /fire anyone"

Is their chairman a bit of a marmite character? Says all the right things in public but behind closed doors who knows. Peter Taylor always seems a decent guy, be hard pushed to rile him. Martin Allen, to me, would be fire meeting with fire there by the sounds of it.

DRFCSOUTH

you've inspired me to check my "facts"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2892422/Gillingham-sack-Peter-Taylor-immediate-effect-defeats.html

here's the summary

"Peter Taylor sacked by Gillingham despite losing just two of his last nine games

Gillingham have relieved boss Peter Taylor of his managerial duties
The former Leicester manager has lost just two of his last nine matches
Ex-Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler will take over until a replacement is found
James Beattie is in the frame to replace Taylor as Gillingham boss

I wasn't disagreeing in any way by the way. Just thinking out loud regarding Taylor. Must have taken a bit for him to speak out. Sounds like his record was decent as well.

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that Paul Scally and Mickey Walker are huge friends. I don't really know how they became friends or what the connection is between them.

Possibly from when we tried to sign Henderson from them.Scally looked a clown then, declaring there was no way he would allow Darius to leave with the offer we made, only to sell him soon after to someone else for about the same.I get the impression he's one of these chairmen who think they are better than everyone else.A Knowall.
