The lad has great potential.  We saw some glimpses of it here at Donny, but sadly some inconsistencies in his performance and an injury got him little game time. I'm sure he will do well wherever he goes and plays. He will no doubt get a bag full of goals and 'rub our noses in it' ?
I'm sure we all wish the lad well at his new club 👍

The move could be the making of him, of course. If he does well I'm sure he'll get a lengthy contact up there. Rangers are pretty well nailed on for promotion and with a bit of strengthening they will be pushing Celtic and Aberdeen next season.

Put it this way, I doubt Harry would have got a top end Championship club down here.

.... Kyle Bennett - Gary Woods - and the McKays should do it !

They were liquidated after running up such massive debts they couldn't even pay the local paper shop £20 that they owed. Have a read of downfall by phill Mac giolla bhain, and see how the club consistently tried to rob the tax man to sign players they couldn't afford to. People should have gone to prison for such a long term fraud of the public purse, starting with David Murray, the man at the top.

I come in peace.. but that is a lot of misinformation right there. You should definitely check your sources before you type out such rubbish. Ill Phill is a complete bigot that has fled to Ireland after...well, you can look into that.

What were the massive debts? You talking about the potential debts? We were proven, in court, to not owe that. The debts that were ran up, were PAYE which was done by a fraudster byt the name of Craig Whyte, who is up in court for "serious fraud" by the way.. we were victims of a criminal act.

You mention us "robbing the tax man" for signing players "we couldnt afford", which we clearly did.. we paid them. They were utilising a tax relief system that is completely legal. Is it in bad taste? Probably, yes, but legal none the less. Most teams use these schemes by the way.. yourselves probably as well!

Bit of a rant, Im sorry, but I just cannot allow someone to pass such lies as fact.

I would encourage everyone to look into his source. Thats not his real name either... gotta wonder why, eh?

I think the lower down the leagues he goes the more he's going to struggle because where skill lacks physical attention compensates.

It's a lottery. You might have got a real match winner. But you might have got a waste of space too. He's got tyhe talent. Loads of it. He could look a million dollars if that clip is a typical example. But a couple of clogs up the rear and he could disappear for ever. Don't play him on the wing - complete waste of his talent and it lets him drift out of the game. And he probably does need a good cuddle pretty often. I guesS Warburton must be good at that though since he's managed Forrester before when he did well. He must be confident he can bring something good out of him or he wouldn't have bothered.

In the words of Brian Clough " he hasn't got the heart to fill a thimble" ! You might be lucky enough to get the odd performance out of him at Ibrox but that's about it. Can't see him turning it on away at the likes of Dumbarton or whoever  should imagine a lot of the away pitches will be quite heavy this time of year which wont suit him either.

Here's the starting line up and the 3 used Subs from Scotlands last competitive game.

Only 1 is plying his trade North of the Border , and he's from Celtic.

Non from the Worlds most success football team.

Most are from the Championship or lower half prem teams.

 McGregor- Hull
 Hutton - Aston Villa
 Greer - Brighton
 Berra  - Ipswich
 Robertson - Hull
 Brown  - Celtic
 Dorrans - Norwich
 Ritchie - Bournemouth
 Martin - Derby
 Maloney - Hull
 Fletcher - Sunderland

 Fletcher - WBA
 Russell - Derby
 Naismith - Everton

May be Forrester can make the Scottish national team if learns to play the Bag pipes.  :silly:

Bit of a conundrum why we saw too little of his undoubted talent.

Injuries aside, at times he seemed to try too hard and desperately wanted to be the star of the show and be the crowd pleased.

When things weren't going well his disappointment came out in acts of petulance.

As said above, I think it will take the right man to get the best out of him. On the pitch, I think he needs to slow himself down a bit and show more composure. Dean Sheils had more guile and craft to his game.

That goal he scored at the begining of the season when we let the opposition walk one in summed him up for me, he claimed the kick back to them was a miskick, in reality he meant it without a doubt.

Talent in abundance, petulance in abundance, and missing in action in abundance, good luck to him, especially if they've got cloggers up there that will rough him up!

NOTHING anyone can say will convince me he did not go for goal so I totally agree with you

I said at the time that imo the ONLY alternative explanation was he saw where the keeper was (at the edge of the 18 yard box) and he thought watch me make this f****r scramble. He then let fly thinking the Keeper would have to belt back and catch it and of course if I am right he overcooked it and the Keeper did not get back !

I thik the average of all the above comments pretty much sums him up.

When he arrived from Brentford I was excited, but he has rarely delivered his potential for whatever reason. I'd have thought having Paul Dickov managing and guiding him was perfect, but proved not to be. The lad needs a kick up the arse, needs to grow up and grow some, needs putting in the right position which is undoubtedly as an old style inside forward, and needs to claim that position and work hard.

He has flair but not as much as he thinks. His game will come good with consitent MATURE hard graft in training and on the pitch, and realistically, in proving his worth from the bench.

I'd love it if you can knock him into shape and send the finished article of a man back to us - but I won't bet on that.

Like others have said, he certainly looks to have the potential and can change a game however, he always frustrated me with his often greediness to keep the ball to 'do it himself' and have seen him many times fail to make a simple pass for a better goal scoring opportunity than he may be in. It seems like when his head drops he will become too frustrated and either try something stupid (and lose possession) or reckless (and get sent off). The latter happened several times early on and I only call it reckless as he is quite a lightweight player and I have no doubt will get seven bells kicked out of him up there, which may knock him back with potential injuries. At times like this he may also look uninterested and pissed off cos things aren't happening for him.

Forresters' lack of game time under not only our new regime of Fergie, but also under Rob Jones (and to a lesser extent, Paul Dickov) can only lead to the obvious that either his efforts in training is poor or, more likely, his general attitude.

I reckon you'll see positives from him in the first weeks/months but will see games where he does not do anything. If the manager and team can sort his attitude out, then you'll have a good young player, that may take hard work.

I think my opinions are shared by the consensus of Rovers fans, I personally think he tried to step in to Cotterrils boots after he went to Birmingham but the different class on player was obvious from day 1.

I wish him well, and hope you get back to where you should be. Please feedback in the future though cos through all the negatives of HF, if he can sort his attitude and game out, this could end up being a transfer that we regret... But I'll remain sceptical.
