As a kid he was one of my favourites. Not certain but think he went on to run the Cambridge Utd Fc social club. Feel someone will correct me if I'm wrong. RIP Graham

You might be thinking of Graham Watson. Graham Moore ran a post office after football. Rovers were his last League club.

Agree tommy toes I too thought he had class.

Funny that this should come up now, it was only last week I thought about him but no chance I could remember his name.  He clearly had class although at that end of his playing career wasn't as mobile as he might have been and used to get dogs abuse if he got caught on the ball, a bit like Wellens in that regard.

RIP Graham Moore

He was about the only player to come out of our 7-0 loss to Newcastle with any credit.
A very intelligent player and a joy to watch.

R.I.P. Graham.

Spent many happy hours watching you play and pass on your love of the game to young players.

In the old days this is what happened when Man Utd and others had done with these players, unlike today they could not retire as millionaires, they still had to play to earn a living. It was to the benefit of the lower clubs like Rovers.

A Maurice Setters signing too! From Coventry I think? Funny. We got Ernie Hunt of the famous stunning free kick routine from there later on too. Did bugger all at BV though.

Cheers

Bob

We got Graham Moore from Charlton. We also got Paul Gilchrist from there. I think Maurice Setters had connections with Charlton.

Oh. Thank you. That proves the dangers inherent in reacching any judgement at all from what one sees, thinks, believes and remembers. The jury system must be complete crap if it's peopled by blokes like me....

I don't know if he still does, but Paul Gilchrist certainly used to live in a village just outside Swindon. He was a fair player. I remember Barry Davies calling him 'the emerging young Gilchrist' on Match of the Day once while he was playing for Southampton. Got finished by an injury i think?
