Was impressed with him.

Showed a bit of desire and fight and good movement too.

Willo could learn a bit from him.

I'm impressed with his movement and work rate  , but i've yet to be convinced that he will score more than 5 this season.

Where you at the game today Prez?   I didn't see any spark up front at all and wasn't impressed.  Willo could only learn from not moaning

I've started having a Golden Goal-type competition with Williams.

Guess the time that he'll first do that, "Face up to the skies, body rigid, fists clenched, face agonised" thing as once more he fails to do anything remotely resembling his f**king job description.

17:41 today.

He probably did it a dozen times today.

I got so annoyed with Williams again, I'm fed up of him. Once in the second half, he completely stopped playing to run towards the ref jumping like a gazelle for a handball. Get on with the bloody game man.

He played ok.

He's no striker though

What is he then? He's played as a striker all his career and has scored goals regularly

Thought Marquis looked good and played well yesterday, if he had a strike partner that helped him out yesterday we would have won.

I'm sorry that you felt that you were insulted Prez, my comment was a sarcastic remark because there was no goals produced from. Our strikers, there wasn't any decent link up play that created a strikers partnership. No insult intended.

Whilst we're all caught up in the Coppinger hype, the lad scored two and caused Morecambe all sorts of trouble. He's looking to be an excellent signing already, and this is only the start!  :scarf:

Yeah Fergie was right saying he will be a fans favourite works his socks off and always wants the ball 👍👍, been really impressed with some of the summer signings if Baudry and McSheffrey can add to that then we've got some great things coming 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

Marquis is playing with great enthusiasm and it looks as though he's really enjoying his football.

He's just the kind of character we need when the going gets tough.

Oh come on Sad. Give it a rest for goodness sake. This is a football forum with an off piste discussion area. Folk are entitled to disagree. Even with you :) Just cos they do so is no reason to slag them off every chance you get in the main forum.  It's pretty juvenile tbh.

Cheers

Bob

That won't happen. He's not a very good finisher. Will score goals due to the amount of chances we create but won't score loads.

Marquis could easily top 20 goals this season, as can Williams. Whether that will be enough for the division's top scorer I dunno yet.  They've only played 7 league games..

The main thing though is we have two up front who look like they'll score at least 10 and perhaps more than 15 - that's a big plus with Mcsheffrey still to come in shortly aswell.

Positive signs if we can keep improving. It certainly feels despite the huge injury list that we're developing a side now.

Williams 4 from 9 games and Marquis 4 from 8.  Carry that on for the season and you're looking at 25 each.  I'd be happy with 15-20 but the signs are good so far.
