Bit of a random match to have a Premier League ref for.

I'm not sure if he is a Premier League ref any longer. He missed most of last season due to injury and he's been doing L1 & L2 games this season. He did our game at Crewe.

Ditto Sian Massey-Ellis who has recently returned to action after having a baby. I'm not sure if she will return to the Premier League eventually.

Bizarrely made Marquis go off after treatment even though their player had been carded.

At times it was like watching Trevor Kettle, bizarre decisions at times

When is a shove not a shove? I couldn't believe some of those not given.

He did ok for a while but then descended into a chaotic last half an hour.
Some bizzare decisions.

I will give him 1 - not for turning up - but for the way he dealt with the injured players getting them off the pitch when they were not injured at all or barely injured or walking wounded

Apart from that he was garbage most especially in the latter stages of the second half. I was incensed (again) that the fat number 9 was allowed a free hand to foul foul foul and still not get Carded - and some blatant Fouls on Rovers Players went unpunished but feared the worst when the 2 footed "lunge" went in from Butler ? late on. Was sure that was going to be RED as he was such and arse - the Ref not Butler

It was Baudry and he got the ball.

A 1 from me. If that is a Premier League referee then we have big problems.

If it was the one near the byline being discussed then it was Butler, not Baudry.

It was the one in their inside left position. Would be MB but apologies I am still struggling to id players especially with this new shirt numbering and lettering

... and what was going off with that Corner he/they gave in he second half ? Nobody seemed to have a clue and no players seemed to be appealing protesting either way.

Copps questioned it and the Ref did a bizarre signal saying the ball had swerved away. OK it may have done but that still did not mean it was a corner ! What happened to giving the benefit of the doubt situations to the defending team ?

Not sure that professional refs would help though.
All we would probably get is the same bad bunch but they would be getting paid full time for the same inept performances that we see week in week out.
In fact it could be worse because some of the refs who have decent other jobs as well may not want to go full time so they would drop off the list and other refs from lower down who want to go full time would get promoted to our level.

This fellow is a full time referee. But I agree. There is no evidence that having full time officials has raised standards.
