Still doesn't takeaway the fact that he scored the winning goal. As we all know for some reason it can be just as hard playing against 10 men as it is against 11.
Well done Joe

I didn't say it did. I was just refering to the fact of how quick a sending off there was in the game.

I'm sorry I took it the wrong way but I'd just been reading the tread about people constantly finding the negatives about rovers and though here we go again. We should be applauding the young man, he is one of ours after all.
So sorry I took your comment wrong.

If he'd have connected with the attempted back heel flick and scored...  :chair:

Seriously pleased for him though  :scarf: :bscarf: :scarf:

This is the 8 second red card. Bit reckless, you have to say.

The standard is dreadful. Makes you wonder what they really lean going on loan there. The kid who scored for them is on loan from Accrington I think. Looks a tidy little player.

Skelmersdale are bottom so it was important they won that game. I would see Frickley as stepping stone for Joe. Hopefully he does well there then he moves up a division or two for his next loan.

I don't think it's so much about the standard as playing against older players. Something they don't get in age group football.

I expect Fielding and Longbottom to be loaned to teams at a similar level. Jones has already had a spell with Maltby Main, although it wasn't publicised.

The standard is what it is - it all depends what you are comparing it with..  They play at the 7th level don't they??  The standard may be "dreadful" compared to League 2, but compared to level 7 it may be par for the course.

I think he will learn more during training with our first team than playing games with them. Having no reserve side means that they need gametime somewhere though I suppose.

Your second sentence hits the nail on the head..  Yes the standard is lower but it is competitive game time with and against experienced players at that level - often featuring ex-pros towards the end of their careers..
