Live TV games for March
« on January 09, 2017, 05:13:54 pm by The Red Baron »
These are going to be announced on Thursday afternoon. There's a good chance the match v Plymouth on 25th will be scheduled for TV. It's an international weekend.

I hope that it's moved to a dinner time kick off as I'm going to the Northern Ireland vs Norway match on the Sunday evening

Always seems to be our home games that are on TV. Plymouth won't even be in the top 3 either by then.

Hopefully Orient away won't be on their agenda as we've just booked a load of train tickets.

Hope it's moved, if it's selected, to a Thursday night game, its ages since we got beat on a Thursday evening.

Can't see it TBH. The only reason I think the Plymouth game might be on TV is because there are no PL or Champo games that weekend.

Likely to be Saturday lunch or Sunday. There will be international games on Thursday and Friday evenings and Sky unlikely to go head to head with them.

After they watched Plymouth bore fest against Liverpool I can't see them picking that game.

Well they are on against Liverpool in the replay, so they must be ok with them

Oi, do you mind... I've worked my trip to Ireland v Wales on the Friday night to come back via Doncaster to get this in. I'll be left doing a Cannonball-style race from Leeds-Bradford if it's Saturday lunchtime.

Given Sky have rights to Wales' games, and England and Scotland both play Sunday, if it is chosen and moved it's most likely to be to another time on the same day.

Just had a look at the international dates for March.

RoI v Wales is on the Friday evening. There are matches not involving the home nations on Saturday kicking off at 5pm and 7.45.

On the Sunday England v Lithuania is at 5pm and both Scotland and N. Ireland play at 7.45.

Odds are Sky will show three EFL games. One Saturday lunchtime and two on Sunday. Kick offs probably 12.30 on Saturday, 12 and 2.30 on Sunday.

Not sure they will schedule any matches for Thursday or Monday evening, but you can't be sure. We'll know Thursday afternoon anyway.

That'll be due to the hospitality and facilities of the Rovers/keepmoat. ;)

As long as it's not Crawley away,
as we have our Supporters weekend away, knowing our luck.

I don't think you have to worry on that score, Paul.

Doubt it will be on the Sunday as the Dons are at home against Oxford on the 25th

I don't think it will make any difference TBH. If Sky want it on Sunday it will be on Sunday. The Dons will have to shift to Saturday.

Aye fair point, but had to jump on the flights whilst I knew them to be cheap.

The thing is, the only people that having this game on a Sunday truly suits are Sky Sports. It's not being moved to benefit anyone but them - its not even to satisfy their audience (as you could argue is the case with Premier League games). Without them moving the game there is no audience.

We're just being tossed about to fill a whole left by their usual clientele. We're the broken toy at the bottom of the box that'll have to do whilst the Playstation is off at the menders.

We will have to see about that

The Dons have announced that the Oxford game will be rearranged. Possibly for the Saturday but I think they have the odd free Sunday.

That would've been pretty terrible planning. Leeds-Bradford, from Dublin.

Shit it's at home isn't it. I'd got it in my head it was away.
