Got nicked about twenty min into the Everton game. Bobby's came into the stand making the crush unbearable. After giving one a mouthful he lifted me like a rag doll and slammed me into the holding cells under the stand.I wasn't alone in there for long about six stainy lads in there and one lone spouse huddled up in the corner.
scouse lol predictor text strikes again.  Filo was you on pabs  bus?

I sure was, we ran a few buses around that time from Stainy, the one to Gillingham was famous around these parts, half the bus got locked up
I was on that one. I was one of the few who never got locked up.
The police were not a happy bunch that day and even locked up some of the few remaining on the bus for mooning out of the back window.

Wasn't that palace tie 2-1 to them in both legs?

No we beat them 1-0 at Belle Vue. Hazy recollection of a late winner, can't remember if it was Duggie or Stewart Mell though.

You're right, my memory playing tricks - it was vs Fulham we lost both legs against a year or two later, both 1-3..

Bristol was interesting at that time we had a battle before we got off the platform
Not condoning violence by the way, it was pure self defence

I am sure that Palace game went to extra time as well.

Main thing I remember about Everton is battering Andy Gray for 90 minutes.
