Away against a in form team, others around us had easier games and we could have seen our lead shrink...But we did the job well and increased the points on automatic places....Important day that for me....

Agreed, big win. Honestly thought we'd get beat before today. The gap between us and Pompey is still the same though.

Would have been happy if we'd come away with a draw today, so all 3 points is a real bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Good win especially with next week a lot of teams around us will be playing away from home so could see them dropping some points so hopefully extend the lead at the top.

Yeah, I was concerned that we'd slip up today against these.
Seems like it was quite a comfortable win in the end. Good result.

How many points do people think we need for promotion? I reckon another 9 wins should see us home

Lol yep your right but we had the toughest fixture and that's the biggest result of the season as daft as it sounds.

In this league no team has ever finished outside the top three with more than 85 points.

If we keep picking up points at the current rate we'll finish on 97.

in the last few seasons 86 points gets you promoted a few on 85 gets you in three play offs

Yes but Wycombe, if they win the game they have in hand, were potentially ony 8 points from us and that is now 10 after they drew with Yeovil today. So we now have a real gap of 10 points on fourth place, not a potential one of 8.

See my post above Filo - we increased it from 'potentially 8' to a 'real 10'

We've hit our first mark, staying up. 75 points should guarantee play-offs so that's the next target

2nd half today we did what we had to,looked like we had another gear if needed, could do with being more ruthless but thats me being picky.

Barnet were a dirty team as well !

Even after the horrible error that gifted them their early goal I thought we would win today, the skill of our players was a class better than Barnet's and it seemed like their desperate brutal stuff which was all they could do to counter might earn them a sending off. Despite them being in the game more in the 2nd half they still never really looked like scoring a 2nd goal. If we can maintain this standard of play until the end of the season few teams will be able to take points off us.

At the point Marquis was kicked off his feet in the last few minutes of the game I saw their captain going around his players saying "no more, use your heads, no more" he was referring to the amount of fouls going off because there was nothing to gain except getting one of their  players being sent off.

It was a right lovely day all round. We hit some good form on humour as well today. That ribbing the steward for his resemblance to Trevor McDonald was straight from the top drawer.

Hats off to all the fans who travelled today, I'm always pleased for you lot when we get an away win at a venue far from home.

I really thought we might trip up and lose today, after hearing how Barnet have improved recently.
So what a brilliant win that was.

I am the most cautious of fans, but I reckon we might be going up.........  :)

I thought we would draw today. I'm surprised they didn't bring Muggleton on to try and unsettle us with the long throws. We've increased the gap between us and Carlisle which we've got to keep doing. Let's get some breathing room between us and them then try and increase the gap to the team in second.

It's really nice to see more goals, the confidence building, 1-0, 2-1 is always a worry till the whistle but 3-1 is great.

And saw out the complete 2nd half at 1-3. They're learning from the Stevenage game.

Nice to see our side have the ability to control the game as they did. Understanding is building throughout the team. Some people will say 'They can't have been as good as we thought-It wasn't that we didn't allow them to be good.
