Hard to argue against him being the best player of the 'modern era' then, depending where you start that debate in the timeline.

Certainly the best I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt. I think Saturday was one of his best games. Happy Birthday to the lad.

My favourite player in the 30 years I have been going. It will be a sad day when he finally hangs up his boots.

Certainly Copps fits the analogy of a good wine. Age has seen him develop his all round game and his maturity has shown he understands the game from a fans perspective combining the desire to perform and entertain.

He's a great example for players young and established although, not many will emulate.

Generations of the future will talk of Copps just as we talk about Alick.

I hope he remains associated with us for many years to come in some capacity as his skill and wisdom is priceless.
