I don't think we wiil or need to do much more unless the is a severe injury crisis. Where i would do some business is at left back not because Mason made a mistake in the last game. I just think long term Mal Benning from Mansfield would be a great signing for us.
His contract ends in the summer. I said a bit back i suspected Fergie might do some sort of deal with Evina going the other way. With him coming towards the end of his contract now would be the ideal time to look at signing him.
Whichever league we are in next season he is ideal for what we need. Pretty good defensively and very good going forward-also a decent free kick taker.

Other than bringing him in i don't think we need to add anything else. The keeper we've signed hopefully turns out a good one. Alfie May looks a very useful player he just needs time to adjust to the difference of the level he's playing at.
Plus we have some very useful players to come back from injury. One of the biggest disappointments has been McSheffrey not featuring for us this season because i think we would have scored even more goals than we have now. What would you do in the time left, leave things as they are or do you think an area needs strengthening?.

Sammy fair assessment
Would love for us to sign a permanent full back looking ahead to next seasons
I like Mason and think he fits in well and if any chance of him signing we should take it
It wasn't so much of a mistake more a two handed push

Only thing I've thought recently is that we look a little weak on the bench when there's a couple missing, eg Copps suspended, Mandy & Williams injured. But no decent loan signing will come to league 2 to be a sub.

A pacy left back for me, and that's it. I fully appreciate we have ATS getting back to fitness, but who knows what he's going to be like when he does eventually return. He could be out injured again within a couple of matches. Mason is doing a great job, there's no doubt about that, but he's not playing in his favoured position and we could get even more out of him, maybe in midfield.

If we aren't going to use Garrett or Cedric then we need another left back. Using Mason is ok but he's better on the left of a three, using Rowe takes away from us going forward. ATS isn't great as a full back but might slot in well into a 3 but we'll have to see how he recovers.

That's back and not dark by the way.
That said have you noticed that without Evina and Calder we have only white players in the entire squad.
We will be thought of as being a racist club ???

Saturday we played a fluid 3-4-1-2. I thought it worked well. The players seem comfortable with it, just as they didn't with a similar formation last season.

We may still go 4-4-2 when the occasion demands it.

Yes but they look as though they half and half, but fair point.

I certainly wouldn't write off Garrett. DF said he'd gone out on loan only to get some games under his belt. I thought he looked OK before he got injured and I suspect his time will still come.

I agree with you about Garratt. After this month he could be recalled, although I think we will let him stay at Eastleigh as long as possible.

Whether we do any more business probably depends on whether Evina leaves. I suspect he will go somewhere, whether permanently or on loan.

I wouldn't do anything unless injury's crop up....We have quite a big squad now and I wouldn't imagine there is a massive amount of funds available if we are to keep fitting in with the rules...Also when it comes to permanents there isn't a big selection this time of year,we have enough to get us out of this league..I would keep our powder dry till all the out of contract players are available in the summer....

On McSheffrey, I tweeted him asking how far away he is and he replied saying

'few weeks of fitness work then if all goes to plan be back in Feb mate'

Be a great addition come February bringing a different dimension to the team. Fingers crossed for him.

February isn't that far away either...

Then we have Lund and ATS to return.  I don't think we'll see McCullough nor Marosi again this season, unfortunately.

Bad injuries before the window ends aside, potentially only a proper left back could come in, but I believe we have a good enough squad to see us through.

Lund can't be far away. He started full training just before Christmas.

Unfortunately, that is not how the loan system works, this season.

We did in the first half but went to flat back four with Houghton in front of them after half time.

Will there be a re-call clause, or is that not permitted under the new loan arrangements this season?

Mason's likely to be a good utility player, being able to play defence or his preferred midfield.

Certainly, if the right player comes available, a specialist left back to compete with ATS. Not convinced ATS has it between the ears mind to be a consistent defender however, he fills the profile of a DF player who can also play centre half.

If it was in the EFL, I don't think we could recall him. However loan rules with National League and other non-league clubs are different. For example, they can still use emergency loans.

"Half and half", which is akin to "halfcast", which is considered to be racist these days.

There's several explanations as to why online - I don't particularly care or am offended by it, I was just bored.
