No way is our pitch anywhere near as bad as the one at Newport.

Really ?

Yes.........really! You were obviously at Rodney Parade eastender.

Was on a tour of the ground before the game and we walked round the pitch. It's like alopechia in places. The announcer who does the tour gave the ball a bounce and it was similar to those old plastic pitches. Making it harder to control. People will say it's same for both teams and you have to adapt but suited Stanley's long ball game better.

The Pitch has always had a pronounce bounce ever since day 1.
So nowt new there then , but i can never remember the Keepmoat pitch ever being this bad 12 days before a game , even with Rugby being played on it.

The players will have all played on council pitches if they can't deal with our pitch there's something wrong. I wasn't old enough to remember this but have seen pitches from the past on football match re-runs Georgie Best and others played on virtual cesspits and still had control of the ball and could do almost anything with it. Compared to back then the pitches are like billiard tables.

It was a heavier ball though Sammy so might not bobble bounce as high as the newer lighter ones.
