Donny might not go up, they're only in top spot and a few points clear, I've not watched them much but I doubt their performances merit being there.

This is comedy gold!!!!

They only get a couple of thousand home fans so can't imagine it's gonna be hostile, a non league club punching above their weight to be honest.

Because Plymouth are pulling in 30000 crowds

TBF it seems as though there are plenty of sensible comments on there.
Does anyone know any fans who have moved seats to shout at that dick of a keeper?

There are a lot of perfectly reasonable, sensible posts in that thread but like any forum, there are of course one or two clowns.

Of course all our fans are going to move to abuse McCormack, our players care only about revenge for the previous fixture rather than winning promotion/the title and, in the same vein as their local press clutching at the tiniest of straws, someone even said a win for them on Sunday would put them level on points with them because Leyton Orient might get chucked out the league

I notice someone wheeled out the old chestnut "the likes of Doncaster" as well. Brilliant!

I would prefer it if we left McCormack alone until the game is won, he's used to the abuse and it will only spur him on to give a good performance, leaving him alone will be an alien feeling and would likely make him more nervous as he would keep expecting abuse.

I personally dislike Mcormack so what better way to get to him than John Marquis to stick 2 past him and Liam M to come on and slot a penalty past him - what a Mother's Day that would be !!!!!

simple - take a leaf out of the Celtic fans' repertoire and hang an effigy of him from the rafters of the south stand (proper noose, not just a bit of old clothes line, mind) to be regarded with silent scorn for the duration of the match; cut it down, burn it and kick it round after the final whistle...

dunno why some folk have to make finding a solution to dealing with these things so difficult  ;)

We won 0-3 at their place in 2009 to ensure safety in the CHAMPIONSHIP.

I'm sure this division is 3 above non-league. Utter cretins, hope we smash em.

What do you think the chances are of that happening, DVR?

I would think slim and none!

The Fans will give him hell for sure - I will be delighted if we stuff him / them and all their fans leave 30 minutes after kick off ! I would love us to win 1-0 with a 98th Minute goal from the Pen spot that hits the left post - hits the right post - then hits "him" on the back and rolls till its half a ball over the line before being cleared but is given anyway ! I usually reserve that finish for Man U

That said I did post this on a separate Thread which is from my more sensible "side" and I hope we can channel the NEED for "revenge" into a positive not negative influence

I am hopeful that our Manager sets the right "tone" for the Players at least. Whatever injustices we as Fans perceive after the Home Park Penalty incident(s) the Players must not get dragged into situations if they can avoid them by losing their heads.

Leave the bile, venom , abuse and other stuff to the Black Bank and rest of us in the crowd and :

a) show the watching viewers why we are top of the Division and unbeaten at home
b) finish with at least a Draw - preferably a win
b) finish with 11 men which will help with the above

Be magnanimous in victory ! (OK the last one can be ignored once we have won)

If we do score and he is still on the ground, one of the players wants to bend over him and say exactly what he said to Mandeville. As he gets up recon on that he has caught you with the back of his head and go down like a sack of spuds holding your face. Then roll around like you have been shot while all the crowd and T.V. audience know you are acting.
Then the ref falls for it and gives the w**ker the red card.
Sorry just woke up dont know how it ended.
Best hard on I have had for ages though, in fact the only one.

I agree too,we are the better football side if we just play our game. They will have plenty of time to get over a loss, its a long journey on a coach back to the outback.

Rise above it. He doesn't deserve our attention. We just need to prove on the pitch that we are the better side and deserve to be where we are.
Spur our lads on, not their keeper.

Wait until we've thrashed them, then go up and laugh in his face after the final whistle. Or am I being childish?

Yes but not as childish as he was.
If he had behaved like any normal keeper and and hugged a defender or fist pumped the air we wouldn't be having this discussion.
At least it gave Copps a rest and we did better than hoped for in the next three games.
I bet the Argyle players were sick about that as well.

Arguably we've been much more successful that Plymouth this century. I also think we're a better team than them. Can't see us losing our heads. Fergie will have exactly the right game plan...

From the 2000-01 season to the end of last season in terms of percentage of games won and drawn, Plymouth and Luton are on 0.509, and we're on 0.508
http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/all-time-table/2000-2001/2016-2017

We've won 7 league championships (as many as Chelsea), Plymouth 5.
http://www.myfootballfacts.com/TotalLeagueChampionshipWon1888-89to2008-09.html

They seem better in the cups.
http://www.myfootballfacts.com/DomesticCupPerformance1871-72to2008-09.html

We're more exciting - more promotions and more relegations.
http://www.myfootballfacts.com/Total_League_Promotions_and_Relegations.html

In the last 50 years (up to 2015) of average league position they are way ahead.

But it's only the next game that matters  :scarf:  :scarf:

The players have to watch that Plymouth don't come along and nick a win. We've won nothing yet there are plenty of games to extend our lead or go totally wrong- i ain't counting chickens, sheep or anything when it's won i'll enjoy it after last season i take nothing for granted.

One of them genuinely thought we had attendances of 2000. Deluded. I'd piss myself if they cocked it up again this season.
