Argentina v chile kicks off on the pitch in about 1 hour .

Both these teams lay just outside the qualification slots for the WC out
in the USSSR 2018.

Think I will stay up and watch this on the idiot box since Ryan air don't do oslo > bonis Aries ( spell check) .

Seems strange that a team that has Messi in it is finding things hard.

For obvious reasons I be shouting for chile while eating a corned beef bab.

Suppose that twit syme  will be proof reading this to dig us out on whatever.infact I get the impression that he knows fcuk all about the offside rule.

Well this tailed off quite quickly.

For any of the keen subscribers to your lonely late night stream of consciousness, who are still awaiting news of the outcome, it finished 4-1 to Brazil.

And Argentina beat Chile 1-0, which now puts Chile outside the qualification positions for 2018.

Put a small Acca on to give the night some interest. Only £22 returned from £3 on but it'll do.
Ireland - Wales turned out to be the stuck on draw I anticipated

Poor old Séamus Coleman looks to be in a very bad way. So horrific they didn't show any replays.

Must have been bad if no replays were shown

That David bust one for Coventry city against man utd at OT ,must have been the worst one out there .

Recall them trying to wash all the blood away on side of pitch with buckets of water, and peter schmichael the united keeper turning away in absolute horror .

Dave Busst's was a pure accident. That one was a bad tackle and unfortunately Coleman had his leg planted at the time.

With Busst the bone was exposed which caused infection (something I know all about!) and that's what ended his career. Because Coleman's fracture (looks like tib and fib) wasn't exposed there is a reasonable chance he will recover to play again. Here's hoping.

on that theme of food I thought I would be a clever xxx

by mentioning Fray Bentos  I was sure it was in Argentina

not so

Fray Bentos is the capital city of the Río Negro Department, in south-western Uruguay. Its port on the Uruguay River is one of the nation's most important harbours

starting this thread has made me remember the most brutal football match I have ever seen far better than leeds v Chelsea in the facup final replay

seems to be from 2009 watched it at 2 am in the morning
world cup qualifier argentina v uruguay   it was simply foul after foul after foul

worth a read
