Greatest 11 - Goalkeepers

As mentioned in another thread, we should vote on a best Rovers 11. Since 2000?
Anyway I can start it off, if I miss someone apologies. Not going to list them all, just 10 most likely to be voted

Tried to start it more recently, but even then hard to compare a conference cult hero to a championship player

Gregg voted best in the world cup1958,Hardwick picked for England u23s when they realised he was over 30 yrs old and recinded it,and was stopped from traveling to the game.

Harry Gregg should be on the list.

However, i am glad i didnt put the list up because people (like me) will say other players should be on the list.

Of those that are on the list, Neil Sullivan for me.

Sulli in recent times for me, I liked Paul Crichton a lot too, wish I could've seen gregg play - way before my time!

My initial Gk hero was Dennis Peacock!

Sullivan for me. What a signing he was... and what a performance he put in at Wembley.

Did no one read the OP? It says "since 2000". Give him a break, I think it's an interesting (selection of) polls and although this one is an obvious choice, I'm interested to see the outcome of others.

Potentially could do a Rovers Best XI through the years, ie once the XI for 2000 onwards is picked, do one for 1980 - 1999, then 1960 - 1979 etc...

Actually Nick, it says "since 2000?".
With a question mark.

Harry Gregg
Ken Hardwick
Gregg voted best in the world cup1958,Hardwick picked for England u23s when they realised he was over 30 yrs old and recinded it,and was stopped from traveling to the game.

My Dad worked with Ken Hardwick at Rosso pit (along with Brian Makepeace and Jackie Teasdale) and he said it totally demoralised Ken when his international call up was cancelled.
I use to watch Harry Gregg in the Reserves and once in a first team match against Leeds saw him bounce the ball on the head of a tiny Leeds player (Major?).

Again, this is before 2000, but a keeper who very rarely gets mentioned and rarely put a foot wrong us Andy Beasley, if anyone went to Shrewsbury for the cup game which was 0-0 around 1990??, I think that was one of the finest goalkeeping displays I have ever seen.

Andy Rhodes.  Dennis was a character but Rhodes was better I think.  I'm too young to remember Harry Gregg.  Steve Humphries was a decent keeper that hasn't been mentioned, stood in well for Willie Boyd.
