1xright back with pace, 1xleft back with pace.
2xdominating centre halves, 1xball winning midfielder and one strong knows where the back of the net is striker.

We need a number of quality additions and I'm confident we'll get them. I won't repeat the ones already mentioned above but would add that we need somebody else with a bit of guile in the final third.

At the moment we rely on Coppinger and he stands out a mile with his ability to make time and space and do something out of the ordinary. Mandeville may progress along those lines, but either way I think we need to add another option with some creativity and unpredictability. Coppinger won't play 46 x 90 minutes.

For me we need a new centre back to go alongside Baudry plus a quality left back.

Fergie needs to be going all out and searching for and paying big money for Copps's eventual replacement. At 36 he  is still by far our best player and without him this season we have been utterly shite. I think the step back up to League 1 may mean we see even less of him due to his understandable fitness issues.

Were we shite when we got 7 points from nine ,when he was suspended? Or when he missed the 5_1 win at Grimsby?

We will sign Keshi Anderson, probably on loan, and Paddy Madden.

Well looking at who has been released and told to find new clubs, Apart from Goalie and Centre Half we need players in ALL positions he thinks.  I applaud his actions re Grant who I did say much earlier did not appear to want to be here. Now others thought so too

I do not know about Madden, he done good at Scunny BUT we have to wait to see what their chairman does mean when he says "He will look after players when he sees which league they are going to be in".

I've heard the Madden thing too. Does that have weight to it?

I've heard this from a couple of people too. One quite close to Scunny told me a couple of months ago that if they failed to go up then their chairman wouldn't be going all out again so that could add some weight to it.

A new defence to play with baudry. A new holding midfield, 2 attacking midfielders and a striker.

So that's why he's getting rid of Williams, his name doesn't fit 😀

Anyone else think he may use McCullough as a defensive partner to Baudry?

Luke can obviously play defensive midfield if needed but I can't see him being first choice. Especially now Keegan/Middleton/Grant could go, I think he'll go after two or three quality midfielders.

I think that is a strong possibility. A lot of top managers like defenders who can play football and it's very common to see midfielders make the move back. Milner at Liverpool, Mascerano at Barca...

Luke obviously a defender by trade, but can play the ball, same as Baudry. Think it would make a good strong pairing, with the addition of two full backs

I didn't see Luke play on Saturday but apparently he was poor - however I do rate him in the defensive midfield role.  He certainly can play with the ball at his feet, and IMHO isn't tall enough for a CB.  That said, I would be happy for him to play there, but DM would be my first choice position for him.
