He is an absolute legendary figure. Signed by Uncle Ken in the brief honeymoon period. In the 18 months he was nominally at the club he did not play once and was I understand never witnessed at the ground.

And yet I do actually remember both his name and his face. No idea how I know the latter, but I do. Well, did.

Cheers

I remember him in the vauxhall conference a midfielder

thinks Bobs getting confused with

James Hanratty (4 October 1936 – 4 April 1962) was one of the last eight people in the UK to be executed before capital punishment was effectively abolished. He was hanged at Bedford Gaol on 4 April 1962, after being convicted of the murder of scientist Michael Gregsten, aged 36, who was shot dead in a car on the A6 at Deadman's Hill, near Clophill,

when I saw the footballers name I always thought of the bloke they hung

He was on the bench a couple of times so must have found his way to the ground. A forerunner of Damian Plessis.

Other players in that season included Simon Black who never once played and Steve Gallen who I think maybe played once in two years.

I never saw James Hanratty, Coleman. I did see Hakan Hayrettin. That's how I know the one and not the other. Did you get confused by the words I wrote?

Cheers
