I think, like a lot at Scunny their contracts are up and Chairman refused to talk about new ones until they knew what league they were going to be in.

Double figures in each of the last four seasons he has played in League One, including two 20-goal hauls. What exactly is good enough if Madden isn't?

Plenty good enough. More consistent than Williams and I think that's what DF is looking for.

Isn't DF talking about a potential Premier League striker joining us on loan - would Madden still be a target if this is the case. Believe Madden would be a good addition though more physical power / precedes up front with JM.

Value for money i.e. for nowt has an effect on a game , scores goals and doesn't go missing when you need him  . Oh yes ... got to be better than Williams who is just taking up space in the pitch.

He was one of Russ Wilcox's first signings I believe. If we have a strike force of Marquis, Mandeville, May, Madden and say Anderson or someone similar next season, I think we'd all be very happy with that.

Paddy Madden would be a good transfer for any League One side, let alone a newly promoted club. 51 goals in his last three seasons (147 apps).

He's still under contract so a fee would be required.

and that's just goals for scunny - he got a shedload in short order for yeovil before that too (22 in 44 apps)

I wonder if thats lazy journalism,it was same last summer,a player we was rumoured to be hoping to sign(cannot remember which,maybe JM) and then Bristol Rovers was mentioned to be after him,Is it a lazy Journo overhearing info and getting his Rovers mixed up.Im sure the player last summer signed for us.
