Have to say I completed the last course for this (and want to recommend it) with some excellent results!
Now I ain't a particularly big guy and am in relatively decent shape but...
Having gone through the program I managed to lose nearly a stone in weight (went from 96kg to 86.2) 7 cms (over 2 inch) off of my waistline and my bmi went from 28.2 - 26 dead! Blood pressure went from moderately high to within healthy for my height!
If you want to have a crack at beginning to look after yourself a bit better and are 30+ it's well worth it!
I didn't learn anything particularly groundbreaking but remembered stuff I used to do!
Have a crack!

I have done the course too, the first one.
As A14475 has said, a good educational course and it was good to train with a group of lads again after so long away from it.
The "dressing room" atmosphere was apparent after a couple of weeks.
I did pick up a couple of injuries along the way but it was a great experience.

Well, given your endorsement I had a little look on DROS.
Not sure I'm as game for this as you obviously were....;-)
"Unlike big fitness/weight-loss chains that charge you for
pubic
weigh-ins and give very little guidance, information at Fit Rovers is completely confidential meaning you can keep a track of exactly how you’re doing on a one-to-one basis with the staff. "
I should hope it is confidential!!!! Some things never change
