Fixtures 17/18
« on June 12, 2017, 08:59:21 pm by Draytonian III »
When the fixtures are released next week who are the teams that are likely to ask for postponements in League One due to international call ups i.e. the first weekend in September when all the senior and age groups will be playing. I remember in previous years Oldham used get called off due age group representation.
I think it's 3 players from your senior squad, Luke McCullough and Iain Lawlor plus one more for example, which could happen if we sign a few loan players from Premiership clubs.

Aside from call ups, does anyone else think Rovers should avoid clashes with the Races as we used to do? Used to enjoy the occasional Friday night match.

I'd throw out Blackburn immediately as a probable international call-ups team. Not sure who else in this division, Bradford maybe?

Baz, I used to enjoy the games under the Friday night lights at Belle Vue but it isn't quite the same at the Keepmoat. I wouldn't mind them in the sunnier months but sitting in that half empty stadium in the middle of winter at night is never much fun.

Our 2 keepers and LM might mean we are calling games off

Bradford are likely to lose half of their team so unless they sign or loan international players they won't have that Problem.
They have already lost one to Millwall and another five are out of contract and looking around at offers. City have said that they won't break their wages policy to keep them.

Marosi hasn't been called up for a few years.

With the fixtures out on Wednesday, who are we all wanting to face 1st game of the new season? For me a home game would be nice, but do not really care who

Yeah. He used to when he was U21 but not eligible anymore.

I'm not too bothered if we could manage a win.
Maybe an away game. A lot of people are on holiday for the early games so maybe get a better home gate later in the season.

I'm not bothered who we  play first or ant other time as we have to play them all throughout the season  bit I do like local games at Christmas and Easter
