Definitely offers much promise and, if Marquis signs his new deal, will provide plenty of ammunition.

Now, if only the Club would officially announce Whiteman, we could start salivating at the thought of having a fair amount of pace in the side this coming season. Especially when you consider there is still another CB to come in and another midfield player.

It is hard to know how good this lad is.
I can barely remember him from the game he played against us so apart from thinking he must be a decent player with his background I am open minded on this.

However, Curtis came from a good club higher up the rankings than us and after a bad spell early on some of our supporters destroyed him.

I sincerely hope that AK has a good start so he is spared the same treatment.

Hound, I think you'll find Curtis managed the destruction by himself. I reported at the time he signed for us my misgivings, as I had a very trustworthy report on Curtis from a very good friend of mine, who was based in Middlesbrough. It turned out to be a very accurate assessment in the end.

Curtis Main's problem was always his attitude, from before he was with us right through his spell here and evidently beyond to Pompey, where he has disappeared from contention fairly quickly. I don't see any such attitude problem with Kiwomya.

Also, Kiwomya came from Chelsea, one of the best academy teams in the country, and is a former England U19 international. Bit of a higher pedigree than Main that.

Nothing wrong with Main's attitude, he's just not very good.

Gaz I think it was other way round - he could be good when he felt like it - unfortunately due to his attitude this wasn't very often

I feel a connection to our new young signing and wish him well.
My first daughter was born, in Bradford, nearly 32 years ago. Our midwife was Alex Kiwomya's grandma.
Good luck Alex, welcome to the Rovers.

Alan, you could see in his last weeks with us that he was a bag of nerves on the pitch.
People around where I sit would boo him if he came on as a sub.
They would laugh at him if he had a shot.
No wonder the lad had problems.
Oh and some of the supporters vilified him for not wanting to come back from his loan at Oldham.
TBH I didn't blame him not not doing so.
