Scoring record not great but he's a young 'un, so let's wish him a warm welcome.

Looks like he took advice from Houghton, so let's hope he follows not too far behind!

From what I remember seeing of him at Crewe, yes. He'll be an asset if Fergie can get him firing. Could potentially be the pace on the left allowing Rowe to sit more central regularly?

at least he's not on loan anymore so don't have to call him

kiwonga

obviously the loans have paid off in more than one way , one more member of the crewe for Rovers Promotion train

remember he scored a few early season goals last season and was getting quotes to be top scorer in the division -- think some goals went in from distance

Now this is a signing of intent. Brilliant piece of the jigsaw in place.

With him being able to play on the left it helps too,we've got him, Rowe and Andrew. Which means Rowe could play central. Good signing.

Why would it? If Marquis doesn't sign a new deal it doesn't mean he's leaving. Under contract.

34 games 7 goals striker, like he'll I would let him strike my area with a bat and he would not hit it much we have enough strikers that don't score

Intrigued as to where he'll play. Sounds more of a wide player than out and out striker. Time will tell.

as I said above was quoted to be top scorer early on scored 3 goals in his first 4 LEAGUE games for Crewe

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/crewe-alexandra/results#top-link

first match of the season

"After creating the first, Chelsea loan man Kiwomya doubled the lead with a brilliant solo goal 10 minutes from time.
The 20-year-old picked up possession midway inside the Stevenage half before jinking onto his left foot and dispatching his shot beyond Jones."

looks like he is a "confidence" job which funnily enough Marquis STILL is  ( lest we forget Manderville  giving a "down in the dumps" Marquis a right rollicking when Rovers were 1-0 down at injury hit (defence wise) Exeter

yes I know about the kiwonga Injury

Fergie is the one to nurture him

Great signing, a real statement and fills a gap in the attack. This lad was the dangerman for Crewe last season and comes with high praise indeed from Chelsea.

I see this place continues to be a ray of sunshine. He's been here 5 minutes and already we've had comments on how his goalscoring record isn't good enough (for a winger, are you joking?) and that it must mean Marquis is leaving as if that's how football works. I despair sometimes.

Sounds a great prospect to me.  Hats off to DF and his team for securing this signing, under the radar!
