Only a Centre Back Left out of initial 5?
« on June 16, 2017, 03:51:07 pm by Alan Southstand »
This from Yorkshire Post:

Quote
YOUNG Chelsea striker Alex Kiwomya has professed his delight at sealing a move to Doncaster Rovers on a three-year deal - and revealed that the club tried to sign on several occasions last term. The pacey forward, who can operate in a central role as well as on the flanks, has become Rovers' third permanent signing of the summer, with a loan deal also agreed with Sheffield United to sign highly-rated young midfielder Ben Whiteman.

So, we have Mason, Andrew, Kiwomya on permanent deals and Whiteman on a loan (although curiously not officially announced by the Club). Does that only leave the centre back to join?

And CM on loan from PL club. Then potentially another striker.

Wouldn't surprise me the centre backs in for pre season training a week on Monday

I don't think Mason was one of the five targets, so the centre half and the central midfielder would round out the five by my reckoning. Then we'll look at bringing another forward in if we can shift Williams.

Well, we're not far of having a very competitive first XI with some good potential in reserve/pushing for a start.

I think we'll all breathe a sigh of relief once Marquis signs a new contract.
