Not had a very happy start to their season. Two league defeats and struggled to overcome Mighty Morecambe in the cup with a late winner at home. Early days but could we be swopping places with em next season? Be nice if it happened.

Not sure about us going up but I've got them as nailed on favourites to be relegated.

We'll be playing them next season. In league 1 when we finish mid table comfortably with 6 games spare not being able to go up or down

I hope they dont come down but think they may, they like us and Rotherham are a proper working class town side, swimming against a tide of money going to the bigger mainly city sides.
I wish them well, except when they play us,then I hope we batter them, knowing my mates who are Tykes fans wish the same about us.

Its going to be tough for them because of the teams who went up are bigger clubs so Sheff u and Bolton should both have enough to stop up. However they have a good manager and still got a few good players left so I wouldn't be surprised if they do stop up. They won't have as good of season as last though.

I've got them as 2nd favourites for the drop, after Burton Albion.

I hope they prove me wrong. I've grown to quite like Barnsley in recent years. Their "oh we're ex-Premier league" Billy big balls seems to have all but evaporated now.

yes I think they are certs for coming down. I too have always enjoyed the rivalry over the years but have come to admire them in a funny way by what they have achieved over and above the 'bigger' clubs and in the sensible way that the club is run. Still hope we stuff em twice if we play em next season though.

It would be nice if they stay up and we beat them twice next year as well.😉
I could live with that.

The best scenario would be Barnsley to stay up and us get promotion, with Weeds getting relegated with the Wendies and Sheff U with Barnsley and Burton winning on the last day to stay up.
I would pay to listen to radio dee dah and Yorkshire that evening, and watch Look North and Huddersfield being crowned champions ,that would be a laugh, suicides all over the place.
