I looked at the odds around 6.40 last night on oddschecker and saw that nice man billy davies had entered the betting at 14/1 I was going to back wellens with the Doncaster interest so via oddschecker I backed "billy to be a hero" only trouble is  it turned into Kevin davies HORROR SHOW at 14/1 by the time I looked at the bet oddschecker didn't even quote - after giving them hell about there impossible mistake yesterday and today my kevin davies bet has been cancelled and the tenna might beon at 10/1 on billy
on checking my bets with them they laid me 40/1 marquis in October and 66/1 Portsmouth on 18th april so obviously no inside information there

funny thing is after my tenna on billy that ended on Kevin davies the odds on billy dropped like a stone

i've just worked out why wellens was never given a chance as a tempory manager at Rovers

Jones went because he wasn't fit and hadn't trained. There was never any sign that he would ever get fit enough to play.

Wellens went because he wanted to. He was disruptive in the changing room and had fallen out with his teammates.

I doubt anyone told him to say it. I heard about it from a separate source and as I recall, there were a few others aware but, after all it's not something you'd want to be broadcasting at the time. Plus, it's hardly surprising players fall out from time to time.

Players at all levels fall out with each other.
When it gets to the level where their income depends on what they do it is more likely.

On the Oldham subject, i have read today that their staff still hasn't been paid their September wages.

Probably why all the talk about who will be the next manager has stopped. They will struggle to attract any decent candidates until they can show they have dealt with the money problems.

Richie may end up being caretaker for quite a while. If he continues to do well he could end up being offered the job.

Disagree with this - he made the most appearances at Blackpool, Leicester are of most interest to the man on the street and Oldham is the team he is taking charge of. Makes perfect sense that in mentioning 3 teams they would mention those 3. Not everything is a slight on little old Doncaster!

Good luck to him as a manager if he takes his drive, passion and experience into his new job he should do ok. He may ruffle a few sensitive souls feathers with his aggressive demure but he’s a winner and won’t suffer those who are not. He also says he liked the way Doncaster played football and eventually wants his teams to emulate that.
