Can you say things like that? Suggesting the ref was swayed?
Interesting. First blames DF, then the ref, then says it should have been a red card, then blames the pitch, then his own players, then says the ref wasn't to blame.
Probably best Phil doesn't ever try to defend himself in court.

A quote from the Shrimpers forum
"He is not the best manager we can get. His ego eclipses his managerial ability. "

That's classic. The ref didn't do them any favours for not sending the player off. Playing with 10 men would have kept us honest.

I think I'd be worried about his mental health status if I was a Southend fan!

Think it's now Brian Horton, someone else with a Rovers connection.

Tbh Mr Brown I suggest YOU look at it again

The fourth one, have a look at it yourselves, it’s a free-kick outside of the penalty box and it’s been given. Things that could have gone against us did go against us today and we got beat 4-1.

God I've not seen a manager say such deluded crap in years. It wasn't even close to being outside of the box!

Can we come to an agreement? All managers who's team plays the rovers are delusional borderline psychopaths.

Who gives a shit what they think?

And before someone says you don't like it don't click on it, I hoped it would be someone recommending a good tanning salon.

I didn't start the thread because of his obvious delusion. I started it because he's basically said the ref has been influenced by the opposition manager. Didn't Mourinho once get into bother for that or have I got that wrong.

Phil Brown talked crap after the game, it looks as though it's catching down Sarff

Another one that cotradicts himself, "the ref was dying to send someone off"

If that was the case why did n't he walk?

Should Wordsworth have been given a second yellow card ,for his celebrations in front of the west stand?

I've only read the quotes from the link at the top of the thread but the 'honest' comment was about the ref would have given a more honest performance if he had sent their player off when he should.

They were rather over-choreographed but they didn't go into the crowd or taunt the fans. He could have had a second yellow for dissent, as someone else pointed out.

Won't Wordsworth be in trouble with the powers that be for making these comments public?

Doesn't matter what their manager thinks, all that matters, is that we got 3 points, and move on to the next game.
