FA Cup games on Saturday
« on October 18, 2017, 07:59:28 pm by NigelJ »
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/fa-cup/scores-fixtures/2017-11

All games are currently listed on Saturday, but as we know, several will move (mainly for BBC coverage).
The disclaimer at the bottom of the page made me laugh - the BBC are exactly the ones who would be responsible for many changes!

The matches at Hyde, Shaw Lane and Chorley have been chosen for live TV coverage. The BBC has yet to confirm which games will be moved to Sunday.

Isn't there also live games on BT Sport?

They usually have one on the Monday night.

The Shaw Lane (Saturday lunchtime) and Chorley (Monday night) games are on BT. The Hyde game is on BBc on the Friday night.

No live games Sunday because there are Premier League games that weekend.

Not officially confirmed yet but our game will almost certainly be Saturday at 3pm. It hasn't been chosen for BBC's Sunday coverage.

Sounds like an old school shoebox of a ground (3,500) and we're on a terrace that looks like the town end. Really looking forward to this one!

Just to give you some idea - the ground isn't really a shoebox at all. 3,500 is a reduced capacity while the ground is redeveloped. It once held 12,000 and for years the capacity was 5-6,000.

The terrace Doncaster fans will get can easily hold 1,200. Unfortunately, the health and safety requirements and crush barriers not being up to whatever standard they should be mean it's down to 750. So I think you'll get about 800 tickets in all, with 50 seats.

We have one new stand finished this year, the idea is for the whole four sides to be redeveloped for a 6,000 capacity but at the moment it's an odd assortment of one stand from 2017 and one facing it from 1914!

That sounds like a proper ground. Hopefully it will be a good old fashioned cup tie. Full blooded and may the best side win. (Hopefully us). 😉

Where’s best place to park admiral???

Ebbsfleet International Station has plenty of room (Car Park C), though is £3. But it's only just over 5mins walk to the ground from there. There are some residential streets but you won't find much room in them. Also, be warned, roundabout by the ground has a road called Thames Way that looks OK for parking but has some sneaky 'no parking' signs that are difficult to see if not familiar with them. Council loves to ticket unsuspecting away fans in that area!
