January window

Do we need any major signings ?
If anything I would be tempted to let some loan players go back and fetch our young players through.

Our points and goals score a roughly the same and we’re only just above the drop zone .... what do you think . Sign a striker or no . Doh !

I’m not really understanding the condescending  response you give. For me the strikers are, particularly Williams and Marquis are lacking a bit of confidence and a lack of quality supply from midfield. That doesnt automatically doesn’t mean bringing in another striker as the lack of supply would be the same if we had anyone up front.

I actually think we have the personnel to comfortably be safe in this league but we just need a system that suits. Recent performances suggest we are getting there and turning a corner. Doh

Kongolo and Toffolo replaced?

Then add another experienced midfielder (24-27 bracket) and a proper right back/ right wing back.

Hopefully, Kiwomya could be our new striker.

Icing on cake - as above, sign Houghton on a 3 year deal.

Sign Neil Bishop.

Is that a wind up? He’s about 40 and he’s useless.

If a player is 24/27 does that automatically make him a better player than someone who is 18/19?

Judging on yesterday's game he's already preparing for his next career - as a referee!

I think both full back positions need sorting. Signing Houghton on a permanent and maybe a loan striker who offers something different depending on Kiwomya

Priorities midfield player as above 24/27 bracket, striker because I don’t think we will see Williams again. Sign Houghton. Then hopefully a Right back and left back.

I always thought he was useless too but he bossed the league game.

Nice to see that was a one off and he was crap again yesterday.

You’ve not seen many better than Joe Wright this season let me tell you.

He is out of contract in the summer. One of the best bits of business in the January window would be to tie him down for another 3 years at least.

Borderline lunacy if we don't sign him up to a longer contract ASAP.

At least we would get a fee if he did bugger off, though.

With Andrew well onto the road to recovery, the right back spot is the one we really need to raise the bar, with someone who can make the next step up.

Houghton as said has been on the cards for a while and would be great to end speculation and nail that one down.

I just wonder whether another striking option is on the radar with DF revisiting a previous failed bid and or gazumping a rival with a marquee signing of a strapping individual. Probably more hope than possibility with that one.

We desperately need a quality striker, but doesn't every team at this level. And recant afford one.
A left back if Andrew is not going to be fit, and a right back

We'll do well to manage that. Tommy Rowe's brother plays for Ipswich.

I thought someone else said on here that Danny Rowe of Fylde was Tommy's brother? Whether or not it is his brother he would make a  great January signing, all the better if he is related to our Tommy.

Rowe! Top FA cup scorer?
 :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
He's right up there on 4 now, but his brother has 3 at the moment with a replay to come. A bit of family rivalry there 😀.

Assuming they are talking about Danny Rowe????

DBR - have I missed an update on Andrew? I thought he was out for the whole season?

Dutch, that is exactly what I said on Sunday.
