The Blades need a replacement for Coutts. I don't think Whiteman fits that particular bill.
He's not yet good enough for a team aiming for the top 6 in the Championship.
Well yes because a better manager would use him how he's meant to be used rather than try and shoehorn him in...

Whiteman was excellent v Scunny in the midfield role without Houghton. Whilst the team struggle with consistency, then I guess it puts extra pressure on players rather than being able to play with freedom and confidence.

Whiteman is not being played in a good position for him, and frankly anyone playing in that Diamond has no chance. Poor formation that pretty much never works but he keeps going back to it.
