He was one of those players I think who would have flourished under SO'D but by the time he came to us, he was just collecting another pay packet and his best days were well and truly behind him.

Correct.

He was a perfect replacement for Matt Mills and certainly helped us before the lure of more money took him elsewhere.

Looking back at that season as a whole, it's the one where Blackpool went up in the play-offs and we weren't a million miles off the play-offs (we finished in the top half).

It makes you wonder what could have been, had we won a couple of the games we drew and Martin Woods not skied that penalty at Newcastle as well!

Correct. Always enjoyed his performances as he'd put a good shift in.

Next up, someone who achieved 'legend' status but actually wasn't very good at his job and made far too many errors, hence why he only made 34 appearances in total...

Ha, good shout.

It'd be interesting to see which of the two have the most fame.

My guess is that Billy would win hands down based on fame in the UK, but globally I think Diouf would be more well known.

Either way, Billy was twice the man that Diouf will ever be.
