Well i only said the other day Man City will win all 4 trophies this season. Looks like one of them has just gone up in smoke.
No good me making predictions. Rubbish.
Pleased I am not a betting man.
Great finish from Will Grigg. Always rated him when he was at Walsall some years ago.

Absolutely brilliant from Wigan.

What a difference having full backs makes! And a clinical striker.

I don’t know why but I couldn’t bring myself to be happy for Wigan, had everything crossed for a city equaliser all the way to the end. Contrast to yesterday when I stubbed my toe celebrating the Rochdale equaliser, funny old game

Maybe this division is tougher than we think. First win against premiership leaders and the bottom draw against one of the best teams.

Sending off was harsh though. Good old fashioned tackle.used to get 10/12 of those every match once upon a time.
But well played Wigan brilliant performance. Please don’t tell me the FA Cup is dead. Wigan and Rochdale have showed it is still very much alive and kicking.

The Cup is the Cup and the League is the League. In a one off strange results happen. They have been happening in the FA cup for over 100 years. Long may it continue.

Not harsh at all Delph was of the ground out of control, it was a leg breaker and Pep can't complain, he's been calling for refs to give players more protection

Harsh? Are you winding us up? It was an absolute leg breaker, his leading foot was just below knee level!

Doesn't deflect from a belter of a performance from Wigan, against THE best team in the FL this season.

Going in wth studs showing is always asking for it. Red for me.

Interesting to note that in the midst of FA Cup ecstasy, Wigan fall into the play-offs.

Alan 3 ex pros in the BBC studio said it was harsh. His foot was facing down and was only just above ground level and was no where near his knee.

Not a red card at all, wasn't reckless or dangerous. A pure 50/50 in which he's just maybe a little bit high and caught him. I'd be out of my seat in fury if a referee sent a Rovers player off for that challenge.

Great effort by Wigan though, full marks for withstanding the onslaught from the best side in the country (and possibly Europe right now) and coming away with a win. Pep should direct his ire at his own misfiring strikers and at Kyle Walker, for letting the ball intentionally run by his foot so that Grigg could run onto it and ultimately score.

If the ref’s got it wrong, then frankly, tough shite.

Their player dives in with a high set of studs. 1 time out of five a ref might give a red card. If this is the 1 time then tough shite.

Man City go into the game with a squad valued at twice the GDP of some small African nations. That gives them an overwhelming advantage. If they piss that away by a player making an unnecessarily reckless challenge then tough shite.

In conclusion. Tough shite.

Pep , is a total hypocrite , only the last round he was crying for his players to be protected after Cardiff's Joe Bennett had scythed down Sane .
Now the boots on the other foot (literally) he doesn't like it and blames the ref for sending the reakless Delph off.

Yeah alright like. I'm glad Wigan won, but regardless who is playing we're entitled to discuss the merits of the red card decision and the tackle. It wasn't a red card for me, that's all.

You can discuss all you like but it was a red card and Wigan won and bloody well done to them. Same to Rochdale as well, I hope they win their replay!
