Have enjoyed the thread about Rovers goalscorers.

Colin Cramb!

He indeed was a shining light in the darkness! Here's a fabulous goal Cramb scored at Northampton in a 3-3 draw in Feb., 1996. Crambie is on the left and had just hit a tremendous volley into the roof of the net. TRB -- what would have been the Rovers XI that day?

Schofield and brabin at the back post, who’s in the middle of the goal?

That's very close to, if not the, first season I supported the Rovers.

It's funny how certain squads stick more than others in your mind.

When organising the Legends banner we conversed with Cramb a few times and met him on the day of its unveiling. He spoke really highly of his time with Rovers and was truly honoured to have made the banner and be invited to the club for the day. We very nearly ended up hitting town with him afterwards though I think he'd have drank every one of us into the ground.

I think it’s James Meara.

If I may answer the teamsheet question on the Red Baron's behalf, from Tony Bluff's excellent book the team that day was:

P.Suckling
R.Kirby
D.Moore
L.Warren
S.Colcombe
G.Brabin
J.Schofield
S.Parrish
N.Peel
C.Cramb
M.Smith

Subs: S.Maxfield and J.Murphy for Parrish and Smith

Also on our books in that season was Marquis - Paul Marquis that is (no relation as far as I know) - who played 15 games (at CB I think) and scored one goal.

Simon Shaw did not join Rovers until our first Conference season in 1998.

After seeing the team sheet I think it might be smith

Thanks Dutch! Had to look up N. Peel -- couldn't remember him at all. On loan from Burnley I see -- one Nathan Peel.

I remember it kicking off late. It absolutely chucked it down before kick off.
