Not going to listen to it as it will be usual rhetoric and bullshit about made up injuries. We're in holiday mood AGAIN he will never learn, he is tactically inept. He stifles our attacking play which offers no pace or width. Same old thing  of sidewards and backwards. His football is boring, boring boring.

He’s definitely not renowned for boring football. Perhaps he may just be f**king with the prick he was given.

I'm shocked Esdaille has reared his head after our first defeat in ages.

Can’t be, I was told nobody would ever come on here just because we lost.

Didn’t let me down

On the contrary old bean i thought we deserved to win, and indeed should have done. Better team selection and tactical awareness may have helped

You’re ignoring the fact about how many goals we scored last season playing only boring football

Wouldn't disagree with what Fergies said. On chances, we shouldn't have lost the game. Two guilt edged chances came to Marquis and you'd expect him to score one of them.

It was a makeshift team and we saw some poor play at times. There was also some good play which created chances so no point beating ourselves up about it.

I would have liked to have heard him explain the very final words of that interview because they could be interperated in different ways. I would have thought most managers would be thinking about next season given this one has only two weeks left, very puzzling.

He can’t win though, if he’d said yes, people would say he should be concentrating on making sure we stay up first

Agreed Surrey.

He sounded pi$$ed off and seemed to suggest that he will be holding talks with the board about his future, or perhaps where Rovers go from here. I could be wrong of course, just how I interpreted that.

Yes I agree, it seems like he’s suggesting he might not be here.
Which is obviously worrying as whether you like him or not it would suggest the club is not wanting to spend the money it needs to, to progress

Maybe it’s refering to players he’s wanting to re-sign. Mind you, Butler has signed already, does that just leave Copps and Baudry??

Doesn't sound like that at all to me, just maybe he knows there's a lot to be done to mould the squad into what it needs to be for next season.

Just how he says
There’s a lot that needs to happen before he can even think about next season

The interview was short and very generic questions as it was done by BBC Oxford from what I can gather.
He can only answer the questions he is given and when it came to the match I found him honest.

It could be anything, at the very least any of the following are contenders:

* his future
* players he wants to re-sign
* players he may want to mutually terminate the contracts of
* any youth players coming through to the first team squad
* the budget for next season in general

I agree with Lincoln, saw it as a fair summary of the game without excuses etc.

Glad it wasn't just me who thought that about him not being here next season by his comments. Very strange thing to say, obviously something has got to him or been said to him.

"I've been looking for a while and you've got to always have one eye on the future. There's a lot of things that need to happen and a lot of discussions that need to happen before I even start thinking about next season."

To me sounds like he either needs to talk budgets with the boards or to the out of contract players. Not at all like he's leaving (unless he's not given a decent budget).

Just listened to it and thought the same. Few posters clearly twisting hat comment a bit.
