Mess of a home kit, club needs to stop messing with our identity.

Strange, when I brought this up in March Silent Majority mentioned that there was a plan for supporters to be involved in a shirt design competition.. wonder what happened to this?

At least when we had a vote we sifted out the "different" designs!

Yes I did say that, but our involvement will be the 3rd kit where we will have a free hand.

Can we call them drunk hoops?

I love the hoops - plain simple bloody red hoops...

BUT...

I don't mind the wavy hoops... Quite like the away kit too.

Looks like whoever put the hoops on the home shirt was doing it free hand too

Someone at the club must be approving these year-on year increasingly heinous offerings. They need to be named and, while not actually shamed, educated as to dangers of bestowing fashion icon status on Russell Grant's knitwear collection.

Bet FBT can't believe their luck. " You know that job lot of ' bloke dressed as a barber's pole?' we've only got rid of them....yes same clown that loved 'grown man in a bib'..we do them every time"

I am at this point reminded that I never buy a shirt and haven't owned one since the conventional red and white hoop v neck classic(with thin green hoop border) of  83/84, and thus my opinion is largely irrelevant.

I am also reminded that as I posted last season, good or bad (horrific in this case), we only have to endure a shirt for 9 months, before the new season's garment is unleashed.

Drunk hoops would be right as the designer and the person that signed it off must have had a gallon of mental strength cider each.

Here's to hoping we get some decent 3rd kits, and that it effectively replaces the away kit that looks like a training top!

It doesn’t matter what the 3rd kit looks like, there will be those that like it, those that don’t and those that will moan about it, just like the new home and away kits.

Like it or not, that is the kit for next season.
We will just have to get used to it.

I think 2016/17 was the apex of home kits design and it will never be toppled. I'm told by the club shop there is already requests to bring it back as a retro classic.

The f**k?

That home shirt makes Marquis and McCullough look like they’ve got some sort of malignant growth in their lower-left abdomen.

Edit. And what in the name of Satan’s portion is McCullough hiding in his shorts?

I get the sense that FBT are left to their own devices with it. Could be wrong but they seem tinpot enough to come up with that load of rubbish.

Normally a kit grows on me but the more I look at them the more I hate them, especially the home one. It must be the worst kit we've had since going back to "hoops". In fact, I'd say the 3 FBT home kits we've had are the 3 worst Rovers home kits in our recent history.

I’m guessing “recent” doesn’t stretch back to the 1992/94 analogue TV interference pattern shirt?

I loved the zig-zag kits from that era. I've still got one, but it's shrunk a bit. Why do clothes shrink when they're left a long time in the wardrobe?

I remember a fashion designer doing a piece about football shirts in a Sunday paper in the early 90s. He said that Rovers shirt had the feel of old ladies’ knicker material.

OK, I know my opinion will count for nothing and I will be shot down for being old and irrelevant but as a Rovers fan of MANY years standing I'll put my two penneth in.  Personally I just don't like hoops, to me they are for rugby teams and I can only think of QPR and Celtic as "top level" sides that have consistently stuck with them, (and possibly Reading?). Whatever, I'm happy to move with the times but please, if the majority are in favour of hoops let's stick to the original broad red and white style which at least has historic relevance, and not something that looks like it should be on the catwalk in Paris.
Can you imagine Alick Jeffrey or Darren Moore taking the field wearing this? Me neither.
Then again, I did love the African Violet.

Not really. These kits divide opinion - you can see there are plenty of positive comments here, albeit outweighed by the negative ones. The Leeds badge was universally derided, even by Leeds fans.

I was hoping we would go back to Green this season for our away kit.My issue is never with the design of kits themselves like Dickos rightly says you cant produce a kit that everyone likes..

My issue will always be with fan exploitation that comes with changing the kits every single year that people now accept is the norm..Gone are the days where they changed them every two years alternating between home and away..You looked forward to the kits coming out then.

Now it doesn't really matter because in 12 months time they will be gone anyway..
