Value for money is more likely to bring success. Money being wasted on the treatment table won't go very far.

Went to the City-Stoke game earlier this season. Went to the ticket office, they said they'd sold out. Went on the official Man City website and there were loads available, so I bought one online and got the ticket office to print it out. Weird system.

You can often get Champions League games online as well. I don't really give a shit about the whole attendances thing but for a team with the quality of City and the near guarantee of trophies you'd think it'd be heaving.

poor attendances are not a reason for a lack of quality on the pitch in way, shape, manner or form - take a look at League Two 2017/18, for a start - the league champions appear to have the second lowest average attendances....

Of course, there are exceptions to any rule, but that doesn't mean the general idea that more investment means more success and less investment means less success is any less true.

Borehamwood - through to the National League Play-Off final at Wembley on Saturday. Average attendance about 600.
