Got to remember the interviews don’t start til Friday. So although the movements in the market suggest Hasselbaink is in the running, it doesn’t mean he’s got the job. I feel we can do better. His managerial career has been on the slide of late.

It's what's behind the name that matters. What tools do they have at their disposal. The Dutch are normally big on coaching the technical side of the game and bringing on young players. That would tick a big box for me but I don't know if JFH is that kind on manager or a more of a man manager.

You are correct. Tony Cunningham was caretaker manager in 1993-94 for four games between the sacking of Steve Beaglehole and the appointment of Ian Atkins. Unfortunately his record was not great - one draw and three defeats.

Interviewing JfH would satisfy the "Rooney Rule", of course.

If Jimmy had been a success at Northampton he would have gone to a Championship Club . Now has gone the way of many others who failed  to prove that they were capable of improving the status of there previous club .
