Man City’s All or Nothing Documentary (Amazon Prime)
« on August 18, 2018, 08:20:15 am by mushRTID »
Watched the first one last night. It’s absolutely fantastic and regardless of who you support, it’s a great insight into football behind the scenes.

Pep comes across as a genius.

Well worth a watch if you can.

Just seen were in it for about 2 secs when they're showing the Wembley League Cup final.

5 out of 8 into this.

The thing that comes across is how happy the changing room is, and how much that helps.

What a documentary. Anyone else hooked?

I've seen the first three, need time for the rest. On a personal note, I was happy to see Sergio Aguero talking about his FSF Award (2nd episode) for player of the year, one I handed to him.

Where is this available - is it exclusive to Amazon Prime?

The thing that strikes me is how easily this translates through sport (all or nothing is an NFL series) and dressing rooms and the lives of the rich players are pretty similar.

Main problem I have with it is that these series are always better when the team they're "showcasing" (or advertising in this instance!) is struggling rather than winning everything.  The Dallas Cowboys were the NFL team last year where they were expected to do well, but didn't and the struggles, friction and pressure in the team were gripping.  Watching City canter to the PL title is fine and interesting in itself, but it's not the same.  But then I guess no one outside the UK wants to watch Stoke or Sunderland implode so it's not worth doing for someone like Amazon.

Have they announced if they're going to make it a yearly series for PL teams or is it just a one off?

I finished the series last night, it’s really good. Pep comes across differently to what he does in the media, he is very passionate

One about Sunderland coming in December on Netflix according to BBC.

Aye - think you can sign up for a month's free trial though and watch.
