11 goal Pontoon ??
« on August 18, 2018, 03:00:25 pm by sha66y »
When you have 2 keepers of nearly equal abilities, how do you rotate them to keep them not only happy but game fresh and sharp....

Ive always thought the best formula for this predicament is to implement a Pontoon Rule , whereas the first keeper stays in goal until he has let in more than 11 goals,

this keeps the 2nd keeper on his toes but always knowing he will get game time soon!

and the first keeper will endeavour to try and stay put for as long as possible by trying to keep clean sheets....

Pros ?
Cons ?

Dreadful. You can't base selection on an arbitrary number like that. Whomever has the shirt has to feel confident in themselves to be in the shirt going forward. Marosi has the nod for now and if he performs well he should keep it.
